The good weather continues, unabated. We have only had a couple of days of rain and we have had to buy in water for our tanks, as we are getting seriously low. We have enjoyed ourselves though as it has been perfect sailing weather and we have been spoilt for choice as to when and where we sail. Normally we would be checking the weather charts to see when we could squeeze in a short sail.

The Bay remains quiet with restaurants and hotels closed. The long-term yotties on the dock have been organising entertainment for themselves, with pool parties and games afternoon. We had them all up to our place for farewell cocktails, as most will have moved on by the time we return. Their insurance allows them to sail after the first of November, as that is when most risk of hurricanes is over. We shall miss them as they have certainly added to an otherwise quiet time.

We had one visitor for the weekend. An old friend who had been holidaying in Barbados and thought it would be good to check us out. It was fun to go down memory lane and stumble across old stories and pinpoint people and places.

Tree felling St Lucia style..can you spot Jeff in the undergrowth!

We are waiting for Jill and Herb to arrive this weekend. It will be a busy few days with the imparting of house, boat and dog knowledge so they are fully briefed before we leave for UK a couple of days later.

Once we arrive in UK it will then be a whistle stop tour for us whilst we visit friends and family, buy Christmas presents, re-stock with chemist stuff, get haircuts, find a parade outfit, get a hat, dry clean suits that have been in the attic for a year and then get up to RAF Cranwell for Fi’s graduation.

Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together!
